What is his role in CVMTA?

Ray is a member of the CVMTA; he also supports fellow CVMTA members with group events such as recitals and the CVMTA’s annual Teachers’ “Tapestry” Concert.

What does he teach?

Band instruments.

About?

Ray has taught band for 32+ years, from Grade 4 beginners through to college students. Ray has started students on every band instrument, including electric bass. Ray teaches a variety of styles, from classical music, to jazz, to improvisation. 

As a performer Ray was 1st Trombone in the Taipei Jazz Orchestra for the past 10 years, and played  Bass Trombone in Taiwan’s National Symphony Orchestra. Ray has performed professionally in 4 different continents, and Australia. 

Ray will be teaching at Monte Anderson’s studio!
